The present invention provides a method for culturing human pluripotent stem cells in an undifferentiated state on a substrate that does not require feeder cells or conditioned medium, and a culture medium thereof. A salt, vitamin, amino acid, glucose, fibroblast growth factor, transforming growth factor beta, and at least two of gamma aminobutyric acid, pipecolic acid and lithium are used during a plurality of successive culture passages. Human pluripotent stem cells are cultured in a medium containing a sufficient amount of human pluripotent stem cells in an undifferentiated state. [Selection] Figure 1 |
