The present invention provides an endotoxin measurement method and a measurement substrate used therefor, which reduce the amount of reagent used in the Limulus test, shorten the operation time, and simplify the measurement operation. A measuring instrument is composed of a plasmon metal quantum crystal and a Limulus reagent (LAL reagent) for a Limulus test, and endotoxin is measured by Raman spectroscopy using the instrument. Plasmon metal complex quantum crystals are formed on a metal surface by adsorbing an LAL reagent. By using this, a reaction with a small amount of endotoxin can be detected by Raman spectroscopy. Compared with endotoxin measurement by colorimetric analysis, the amount of reagent used is 1/1000 or less, and the measurement time is as short as 1/10 or less. [Selection] Figure 1 |
