abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify hardly soluble impurities in a method of hydrolyzing (S) -2-benzyl-3- (cis-hexahydro-2-isoindolinylcarbonyl) propionic acid ester using an alkali metal hydroxide. Provided is a method for producing highly effective mitiglinide calcium hydrate that is suppressed. SOLUTION: The liquidity of a reaction solution obtained by reacting an alkali metal hydroxide with (S) -2-benzyl-3- (cis-hexahydro-2-isoindolinylcarbonyl) propionic acid ester is weakened. After adjusting to the acidic to weakly alkaline range, a calcium chloride reaction is carried out to produce mitiglinide calcium hydrate. [Selection figure] None |
