2. Description of the Related Art An electrode device for an electrosurgical instrument is known that includes at least one conductive electrode portion and one insulating support portion, both of which are made of a ceramic material. In order to improve the mechanical and electrical properties and simplify the manufacturing method, the unfired body of the support body and the unfired body of the electrode part are connected to each other, particularly in terms of material, to form one composite unfired body.
