titleOfInvention | Sunscreen composition |
abstract | The present invention relates to high SPF sunscreen compositions. The challenge is to achieve a high SPF while keeping the total amount of sunscreen in the composition relatively low. It is desirable that enhanced SPF benefits can be achieved by the synergistic interaction of commonly used ingredients, so Applicants have addressed this problem and made dibenzoylmethane or its derivatives oil-soluble. When a cosmetic composition containing in combination with a UV-B sunscreen is incorporated into a sunscreen composition along with a selected type of nonionic surfactant that meets some HLB requirements, it is applied to the target substrate. It has been surprisingly found that it provides enhanced SPF benefits. |
