Provided is an engine lubricant capable of realizing fuel consumption more than that of an existing engine lubricant, and particularly capable of realizing fuel consumption in a cold phase of an engine cycle. An engine lubricant is formed of (a) one or more base oils, (b) a polyalkyl (meth) acrylate main chain and a hydrocarbon side chain having at least 50 carbon atoms. At least one comb polymer and (c) a fatty amine; a fatty amide or fatty imide obtained by condensation of a fatty amine and a carboxylic acid; an alkoxylate thereof; and a mixture thereof; A nitrogen-containing organic friction modifier and optionally (d) at least one organomolybdenum organometallic friction modifier.
