The present invention relates to exfoliated and dispersed carbon nanotubes that provide high aspect ratios, and surface modified carbon nanotubes are readily dispersed in a variety of media. The method discloses producing them in high yield. Further modifications with surfactants or modifiers are also disclosed. Also disclosed is the application of the carbon nanotubes in the present invention as a composite material with materials such as elastomers, thermosets and thermoplastics. |
