titleOfInvention | Prediction and monitoring of response to cancer treatment based on gene expression profiling |
abstract | The present invention utilizes gene expression profiles in a method for predicting the likelihood that a patient's cancer will respond to standard therapy. Also provided are methods for identifying therapeutic agents that target cancer stem cells or epithelial cancers that have reached epithelial-mesenchymal transition using such gene expression profiles. The present invention is a method for inducing molecular formula characteristics of epithelial cancer that is not responsive to chemotherapy and anti-kinase targeted therapy. The present invention also encompasses any patient stratification scheme that utilizes the biomarkers described herein for either treatment selection and / or prognostic purposes. To do. |
