The present invention relates to a method of obtaining a material based on treating a solid by interaction with a ferrofluid so that the final product has a superparamagnetic behavior at moderate temperatures. The superparamagnetic material is obtained from an aggregate of iron oxide nanoparticles combined with a compound such as oleic acid having a surface-active effect, and the iron oxide nanoparticles are supplied to different types of solids by non-aqueous ferrofluids. And preferably have adsorption properties, absorption properties, or reactant properties, and properties to carry the product. The present invention also relates to the material obtained by the above method and the use of the material for various applications. Applications include biological materials such as adsorbents, sensors, ion exchangers, removal of toxic pollutants or radioactive contaminants, chromatographic separation processes, medical and biological applications, enzymes, etc. Supports for materials, polymeric fillers, absorption of electromagnetic radiation, and metal oxide precursors and catalyst precursors. |
