With respect to diagnostic methods, treatment-related methods, or prognostic methods, biomarkers can be evaluated to identify a phenotype such as a disease state or disease, or disease stage or progression. Circulating biomarkers from body fluids can be used in profiling physiological states or determining phenotypes. These include circulating structures such as nucleic acids, proteins, and vesicles. Biomarkers can be used for theranosis purposes to select candidate treatment regimens for disease, condition, stage, and stage of disease, and can also be used to determine therapeutic effects . The biomarker may be a circulating biomarker including vesicles and microRNA. |
