abstract The present invention provides a method for making a cementitious material. The method includes providing a cementitious material by mixing a cement starting material and a particulate restorative agent. The restoration agent includes coated particles, which include bacterial material and additives. The bacterial material is selected from the group consisting of bacteria, lyophilized bacteria and bacterial spores. Tablets (substantially leak-proof) containing the restorative agent may interfere with the processability of the liquid mixture (“cement-based material”), even when applied in large quantities, The present invention solves these problems because it does not adversely affect any properties of the material (hardened concrete).
