A fusion protein comprising a RAGE polypeptide, wherein the RAGE polypeptide comprises a fragment of a mammalian wild-type RAGE peptide, and the RAGE polypeptide portion of the fusion protein has one or more point-spots relative to the wild-type RAGE peptide. Such fusion proteins having mutations are disclosed. Said point mutations may remove and / or convert glycosylation sites or enzyme cleavage sites. Also disclosed are nucleic acids encoding such proteins, and methods of using such proteins to treat diseases mediated by RAGE. [Selection figure] None |
