abstract |
The present invention is a low pH fiber that is treated with additives to adjust pH and redox potential (ORP) in an aqueous environment in which the fibers are present, preferably treated with additives after the cellulose fibers are regenerated. Low pH fibers are provided. Low pH fibers can be formed into fibrous articles such as tampons or wipes. Low pH fibers with additives provide a health benefit to the user in terms of suppressing the ability of harmful bacteria to grow. |
