Titanium-MWW zeolite is heated to a gel formed from a titanium compound, a silicon source, a boron source, an MWW-structure directing agent, and water at a temperature in the range of 35-75 ° C. for a period of 8-30 hours. A crystallized gel is formed and the resulting pre-crystallized gel is prepared by heating at a temperature in the range of 160C to 190C for a period of 5 days or longer to form a titanium-MWW zeolite. After contacting the zeolite with an acid, the zeolite is useful for olefin epoxidation using hydrogen peroxide. |
