abstract |
A cementitious composition in which the cement properties of fly ash are carefully controlled will be described. The cementitious composition contains strong acids and bases such as citric acid (about pH 2.2) and alkali metal activity including alkali hydroxide (about pH 12-14) and metal carbonate (about pH 11.6). It may be substantially free of an agent and the like. The use of these strong chemicals causes acid-base reactions when using the product. Instead of these strong chemicals, lactate-based activators are used as reaction promoters. In the composition, a boron compound may be used as a setting retarder. |
