titleOfInvention | Method for diagnosing and monitoring cardiac ischemia in a patient with acute chest pain and no myocardial infarction |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing an ischemic condition in a subject suffering from acute coronary syndrome but not meeting the diagnostic criteria for myocardial infarction. The present invention further relates to a method for identifying a subject that is likely to undergo cardiac intervention, wherein the subject is suffering from acute coronary syndrome but does not meet the diagnostic criteria for myocardial infarction. The method of the present invention measures the amount of fms-like tyrosine kinase-11 (sFLT-1) and optionally hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) in a sample of a subject, and optionally sFLT-1 and optionally HGF. Is based on comparing the amount of to a reference amount. The present invention also includes kits or devices for performing the methods of the present invention. [Selection figure] None |
