According to the present invention, there is provided a method for inducing pluripotent stem cells in vitro, one selected from the group consisting of a nuclear receptor gene or polypeptide and Sox, Kruppel-like factor or myc family There is provided a method comprising introducing the above gene or polypeptide into a cell in vitro. The invention also provides vectors and compositions for generating the same, and methods for treating patients in need of pluripotent stem cell therapy using induced pluripotent stem cells.
