abstract |
The present invention relates to a braided stent and a method of forming a braided stent. The braided stent comprises an integral retrieval / reposition member. The stent has a first open end, a second open end, and a tubular body positioned therebetween. The retrieval / reposition member extends from the braided tubular body and is knitted into the tubular body. When the recovery / rearrangement member includes a long portion extending from the first opening end and a second section that interloops along the outer periphery of the first opening end, a force is applied to the long portion. The stent end and the stent body shrink in the radial direction. |
