titleOfInvention Glaucoma drainage device with pump
abstract The glaucoma drainage device has a main drainage tube with a first end in the anterior chamber of the eye and a second end in the drainage location. The bypass drain tube is fluidly connected to the main drain tube and parallel to the main drain tube. The pump is in communication with the bypass drain tube. The pump includes a first driver and a first flexible membrane surrounding the first chamber. The first check valve is disposed upstream of the pump, and the second check valve is disposed downstream of the pump. The active valve is disposed upstream of the first check valve. The active valve includes a second driver and a second flexible membrane surrounding the second chamber. The third check valve is disposed between the active valve and the second end of the main drain tube. The volume of the first chamber is varied to pump fluid from the anterior chamber.
