Use an electrostatic printhead to eject chargeable marking particles dispersed in a dispersion fluid, and deposit all ink composition on the substrate before fixing the image A method of depositing and forming an image on a substrate. Ink compositions suitable for use in the present invention include 45 to 95% by weight dispersion medium liquid, 6 to 40% by weight insoluble chargeable marking particles, and 0.4 to 10% by weight soluble dispersant. And the ink is characterized by not containing a substance capable of fixing the marking particles to the substrate.
