titleOfInvention Crystallization of 4'-epidaunorubicin xHCl
abstract The present invention relates to a form of crystalline 4′-epidaunorubicin hydrochloride that is stable and readily soluble, and to a process for its manufacture. This process consists of (a) a solvent A selected from the group consisting of C1 and C2 halogenated solvents and mixtures thereof; and (b) C1-C5 linear and branched alcohols and mixtures thereof. A solvent B selected from the group, and (c) a solvent C selected from the group consisting of C1-C5 linear and branched alcohols and mixtures thereof, wherein the solvent C is more than the solvent B Crystallizing 4′-epidaunorubicin hydrochloride in a solvent system comprising solvent C, which is selected to provide low solubility to 4′-epidaunorubicin hydrochloride. [Selection figure] None
