abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a cleaning agent with improved residual fragrance on a surface to be cleaned after cleaning the surface to be cleaned. A cleaning agent used for cleaning hard surfaces. The cleaning agent comprises an emulsion containing a surfactant, a water-soluble anionic polymer having an emulsifying action as a thickener, and a fragrance. The perfume is contained in the emulsified liquid in an amount of 0.1% by mass to 2% by mass. The cleaning agent is used such that after the hard surface is cleaned by the cleaning agent applied to the hard surface, the hard surface is not washed away, and the cleaning agent remains on the hard surface.
