abstract A treatment catheter suitable for transradial coronary angioplasty is provided. A distal end side shaft and a proximal end shaft joined to a proximal end portion of the distal end side shaft and having higher rigidity than the distal end side shaft are provided, and the distal end portion of the proximal end side shaft is a proximal end of the distal end portion. In the catheter formed to be less rigid than the side, the catheter is inserted into the right coronary artery through a guiding catheter that is inserted from the radial artery of the right wrist and engages the right coronary artery ostium, and the distal end of the catheter descends posteriorly A treatment catheter in which a distal end portion of a proximal shaft is disposed in a right subclavian artery when disposed on a distal side with respect to a branch branch portion.
