titleOfInvention | Reverse osmosis membrane cleaning method and cleaning liquid |
abstract | When a RO membrane used for water treatment, particularly an aromatic polyamide RO membrane, is contaminated and performance such as permeation flux and desalination rate is reduced, it cannot be sufficiently removed by a conventional cleaning solution. Provided are a cleaning method and a cleaning liquid for effectively removing contaminants. SOLUTION: The effective chlorine concentration and dilution ratio of a hypochlorous acid (salt) aqueous solution before dilution, prepared by diluting and mixing an aqueous hypochlorous acid (salt) solution with an alkaline agent and water, The RO membrane is cleaned using hypochlorous acid (salt) / alkaline aqueous solution having an effective chlorine concentration of 10 ppm or less determined by the calculation in (1).
