abstract A cooling device for an MRI apparatus unit capable of accurately detecting water leakage is provided. An MRI apparatus unit cooling apparatus according to an embodiment includes a water tank for storing cooling water for cooling a heat generating unit included in the MRI apparatus, and cooling water stored in the water tank that travels from the water tank to the heat generating unit. A pump that circulates in the circulation path, a heat exchanger that cools the cooling water, and a control unit, wherein the control unit is configured such that the rate of decrease in the amount of cooling water in the aquarium is greater than a predetermined reference value. In addition, it is determined that water leakage has occurred in the circulation path, the pump is stopped, and the circulation of the cooling water is stopped. [Selection] Figure 2
