abstract | A first bending portion that protrudes in a protruding manner in one direction on a side surface of a battery case, and a first bending portion that protrudes in a protruding manner in a direction that forms an angle of 90 degrees or more with respect to the protruding direction of the first bending portion. In a sealed battery in which a cleavage groove composed of a curved line in which two curved parts are alternately connected is formed, even when the battery case has a different size and thickness, it can be more reliably cleaved according to the internal pressure of the battery case. A simple cleavage groove configuration is obtained. A sealed battery (1) includes a hollow columnar battery case (2) in which an electrode body (30) and an electrolytic solution are enclosed. A cleavage groove (41) that forms a cleavage line that intersects the ridge line is formed on the side surface of the battery case (2). The cleavage groove (41) indicates the percentage of the ratio of the thickness of the remaining portion to the plate thickness of the battery case (2), and the battery case (2) when the side surface of the battery case (2) is viewed from the normal direction.
