abstract | A gas barrier film having high gas barrier properties and excellent repeatability of gas barrier properties is provided. A gas barrier film having an inorganic layer 2 having a thickness of 25 to 500 nm on at least one side of a polymer film substrate 1, wherein the inorganic layer is contained in an entire thickness range of 8 atom% or more. The concentration of the corresponding element included in the thickness range from the polymer film substrate side of the inorganic layer to 10 nm with respect to the concentration of each element of the element is 0.87 to 1.15 times, respectively. The density in the thickness range from the polymer film substrate side to 10 nm is 0.95 to 0.998 times the density in the entire thickness range of the inorganic layer. Gas barrier film.
