abstract |
Gloss unevenness is effectively suppressed between an area where light ink is mainly used and an area where dark ink is mainly used. The glossiness of an area using dark cyan ink C is increased. As a result, the amount of clear ink CL2 applied by post-printing at the cyan primary (lattice point 16) is set to 32% so as to be equal to the glossiness of the light cyan ink LC. Further, in the highlight portion (lattice point 8), the application amount of the clear ink CL1 by normal recording is set to 32% so as to be equal to the maximum glossiness achieved by the dark cyan ink C. It is possible to make the gloss level substantially constant over all white → cyan areas, that is, to suppress uneven gloss. [Selection] Figure 17 |
