abstract |
The present invention provides an actinic ray curable ink jet ink and an ink jet recording method which form an image having scratch resistance and less blooming. An actinic ray curable inkjet ink containing a photopolymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and a gelling agent and reversibly sol-gel phase transition depending on temperature, wherein the photopolymerizable compound has a molecular weight. The gelling agent comprises an alkyl chain having 12 or more carbon atoms, including at least one photopolymerizable compound A that is a (meth) acrylate compound having a ClogP value of 4.0 to 7.0. At least one kind of photopolymerizable gelling agent containing 10 to 40% by mass of the photopolymerizable compound A and 0.5 to 10.0% by mass of the gelling agent with respect to the total mass of the ink.
