FGFR4 promotes cancer cell resistance in response to chemotherapeutic drugs |
abstract |
Fibroblast growth factor receptor for co-administration with therapeutic means or / and agents for the prevention, alleviation or / and treatment of hyperproliferative diseases such as cancer, eg cancer resistant to chemotherapy 4 (FGRF4) inhibitors. Surprisingly, it has been found that FGFR4 promotes cancer cell survival of cancer cells under treatment with chemotherapeutic agents by increasing the resistance of cancer cells to apoptosis. It is therefore concluded that FGFR4 inhibitors can promote the therapeutic efficacy of anti-cancer agents or / and radiation. The dose of anticancer agent or / and radiation can be reduced to achieve a specific therapeutic effect when administered in combination with an FGFR4 inhibitor rather than administered alone.
