abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coagulate hydrophobized inorganic oxide particles from a dispersion containing hydrophobized inorganic oxide particles obtained in a dispersed state in a mixed solvent in a small-capacity reactor. And providing the method which can obtain the hydrophobized inorganic oxide particle excellent in fluidity | liquidity, without agglomerating firmly. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Silicon oil, silane coupling agent, and silazane in a mixed solvent of water and an organic solvent without separating inorganic oxide particles obtained by a sol-gel method using a metal alkoxide as a raw material from a reaction solution. When obtaining hydrophobized inorganic oxide particles by contacting with at least one surface treatment agent selected from the group consisting of: coagulation comprising an organic acid or a salt thereof in the dispersion containing the hydrophobized inorganic oxide particles An agent is added to coagulate the hydrophobized inorganic oxide particles, and then the hydrophobized inorganic oxide particles are separated and dried to obtain hydrophobized inorganic oxide particles.
