A method for producing a carbon alloy material having sufficiently high redox activity when applied to a carbon alloy catalyst. A step of attaching at least one ionic liquid to a carrier, a step of firing a precursor containing the carrier to which the ionic liquid is attached, and a step of washing a product after firing with an acid. And a method for producing a carbon alloy material, wherein the precursor contains a metal species including one or more of Fe, Co, Mn, Cr and Ni. [Selection figure] None |
