abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for protecting a polarizing plate, which can suppress generation of a light interference color when arranged in a crossed Nicols state as a polarizing plate and can reduce deterioration of liquid crystal due to ultraviolet rays when incorporated in a liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: An inner layer contains an ultraviolet absorber and is a laminated polyester film composed of at least three layers. The film has an in-plane retardation of 500 nm or less, a plane orientation degree ΔP of 0.110 or less, and a wavelength. A polyester film for protecting a polarizing plate, wherein the light transmittance at 380 nm is 20.0% or less and the light transmittance at a wavelength of 550 nm is 80.0% or more.
