abstract |
In an organic EL device having a filling and sealing structure, there is provided a desiccant capable of suppressing influence on an organic layer, ensuring fluidity at the time of filling, and having translucency. A desiccant filled in an airtight container hermetically sealed with an element substrate 2 and a sealing substrate 7 so that an organic layer 4 encloses a laminated body 6 sandwiched between a pair of electrodes 3 and 5. 8 is obtained by mixing a water-collecting component composed of an organometallic compound and silicone, wherein the water-collecting component is 50 to 95% by weight of the desiccant and silicone is 5 to 50% by weight. When the desiccant is mixed with silicone, the influence on the organic layer can be suppressed and the viscosity necessary for filling the hermetic container can be obtained. [Selection] Figure 1 |
