abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure, which can sufficiently suppress the deformation of a green molded body during drying and can shorten the time for drying treatment. The green molded body includes a step of drying in an atmosphere in which an absolute pressure is 80 kPa or less and a microwave output per unit weight of the green molded body is 0.02 to 10 kW / kg. The body contains an inorganic compound source, a solvent, and an additive to be removed by firing, and the amount of the additive is 20 parts by weight or more with respect to 100 parts by weight of the inorganic compound source.
