abstract |
To provide a method for producing an unsaturated hydrocarbon corresponding to a hydrocarbon by dehydrogenating the hydrocarbon using a safe catalyst having a longer catalyst life. A hydrocarbon is dehydrogenated in the presence of a catalyst (B) on which zinc and a Group VIIIA metal of a periodic table are supported on a zeolite support (A). Corresponding method for producing unsaturated hydrocarbons. The zeolite carrier (A) is at least one compound selected from the zeolite carrier (A ′) and alkali metal hydroxides, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, ammonium hydroxide, ammonia, organic amines, and ammonium salts.
