An image forming method comprising: an image forming step for forming an image; and a post-processing step for forming a protective layer by depositing a post-processing liquid thereon, wherein the organic solvent has a temperature of 23 ° C. and a humidity of 80%. An image forming method comprising at least one polyhydric alcohol having an equilibrium water content of 30% by mass or more and containing at least one of an amide compound, a dioxanemethanol compound, an oxetane compound, and a sebacic acid dialkyl ester compound.
