abstract | A styrene-based flame retardant resin composition having sufficient flame retardancy and excellent impact resistance with a blending amount of a halogen flame retardant and an antimony compound as small as possible and suitable for, for example, electronic / electrical equipment and OA equipment. Is simply provided. A clay mineral containing 100 parts by mass of a styrene resin (A), 3 to 30 parts by mass of a halogen flame retardant (B), 0.1 to 4.5 parts by mass of an antimony compound (C), and a layered inorganic compound ( D) 0.1-30 mass parts and an organic modifier (E) are contained, and the compounding quantity of this organic modifier (E) is 5-50 mass parts with respect to 100 mass parts of this clay mineral (D). A flame retardant resin composition in which the clay mineral (D) contains a mineral having a major axis of 10 μm or more in an amount of 0.001 part by mass or more with respect to 100 parts by mass of the styrene resin (A) resin.
