The present invention relates to a method for producing an electrode catalyst structure carrying an electrode catalyst in which performance is not easily deteriorated even in a potential cycle including a high potential in an acidic electrolyte or an alkaline electrolyte, the electrode catalyst structure, and a membrane electrode A gas diffusion layer assembly, a fuel cell, and an air cell are provided. A powder of a compound having oxygen reducing ability and containing no noble metal element is fixed on a substrate to form a layer of the powder, and the substrate on which the layer is formed is bonded to a compound containing a noble metal element. Dipping in a solution dissolved in a solvent, and supporting a noble metal on the surface of the layer by an electrodeposition method. [Selection] Figure 1 |
