An oligonucleotide capable of forming a stable complex that does not dissociate in an aqueous system and a method for using the oligonucleotide are provided. An oligonucleotide probe comprising a nucleotide (a ′) labeled with a labeling substance (h), wherein some or all of the nucleotides are artificial nucleotides having a function of increasing the dissociation temperature from a complementary strand.
