The sintering temperature in the spark plasma sintering method is set to be 300 ° C. or more lower than the melting point of the thermoelectric material powder. For example, when the thermoelectric material powder is a semiconductor containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of Bi and Sb and at least one element selected from the group consisting of Te and Se, the sintering temperature is set to 200 to 300 ° C.
