abstract Disclosed is a bone cement comprising a monomer and a non-reactive substance that is fully miscible with the monomer. The present invention relates to a monomer and a non-reactive that is completely miscible with the monomer. Bone cement containing the material is shown. The resulting hardened bone cement (eg, a variation in material stiffness) exhibits the desired properties. Such stiffness, a modified property, can be tailored to match the bone properties and can reduce the occurrence of fractures at locations adjacent to the portion treated with bone cement. One example is a fracture of an adjacent vertebral body in a vertebral body formation procedure. [Selection figure] None
