abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a display device capable of improving display characteristics by uniformly dispersing a color material in a display region and simplifying a manufacturing process, and a driving method thereof. An electrophoretic display device 1 includes a red electrophoretic particle 10R, a green electrophoretic particle 10G, a red particle holding region 6R that holds a red electrophoretic particle 10R, and a green particle that holds a green electrophoretic particle 10G. A pixel 6 having a holding region 6G, a red particle holding region 6R and a green particle holding region 6G, a red particle collecting electrode 14 and a green electrophoretic particle which are provided on both sides of the pixel 6 and accumulate the red electrophoretic particles 10R. A green particle integrated electrode 22 that accumulates 10G and a pixel 32 that is provided adjacent to at least one of both sides of the pixel 6 and has a symmetric structure with the pixel 6 with respect to the green particle holding region 6G.
