abstract Provided is a method for producing ε-caprolactam, which includes a step of crystallizing ε-caprolactam while suppressing scaling in a container. A molten crude ε-caprolactam and a mixed solvent of n-heptane and cyclohexane having a temperature lower than that of the molten ε-caprolactam are mixed and mixed with a crystallization liquid in a container 1 to crystallize ε-caprolactam. In the method for producing ε-caprolactam having a crystallization step, the container 1 includes a stirrer 13, a first baffle 11, and a second baffle 12. While the whole of the first baffle 11 and the second baffle 12 are immersed in the crystallization liquid, the molten crude ε-caprolactam and the mixed solvent are mixedly mixed.
