abstract Visible light responsive type capable of easily producing a highly transparent photocatalytic thin film that is excellent in dispersion stability of titanium oxide fine particles even when left in a cool and dark place for a long period of time, and that exhibits photocatalytic activity even with only visible light. A titanium oxide fine particle dispersion and the like are provided. SOLUTION: A peroxotitanic acid solution containing vanadium and a tin compound is produced from a raw material titanium compound, vanadium compound, tin compound, basic substance, hydrogen peroxide and an aqueous dispersion medium, and this is hydrothermally reacted under high pressure. Subsequently, a copper compound is mixed with this to obtain a visible light responsive titanium oxide fine particle dispersion or the like. [Selection figure] None
