titleOfInvention | Instruments for waterjet surgery |
abstract | A surgical instrument for water jet surgery is provided. Surgical instruments (10, 110, 210, 310) arranged for performing water jet surgery are advanced out of a retracted or passive position by a hydraulic actuator (23). A nozzle 18 is provided that can be moved into a moving or active position. The operation is performed by pressurized fluid supplied to the instrument head (11) via at least one of the tube (20) and the hose (43). A fluid injected into the tissue, such as a sodium chloride solution, can be used as the pressurized fluid supplied to the nozzle (18). Preferably, HF current can additionally be applied to the nozzle (18). The HF current can be directed to the nozzle via a line (30) extending through the fluid guiding element (15) or via an electrolyte present in the fluid guiding element (15). [Selection] Figure 1 |
