abstract |
A radiation detection apparatus that suppresses a reduction in sharpness of a captured image due to scintillation light generated in a scintillator layer in a region immediately above each photoelectric conversion unit leaks into the surrounding photoelectric conversion unit. A radiation detection apparatus including a sensor unit (12) in which a photoelectric conversion unit is arranged in a two-dimensional manner and a scintillator layer (30) for converting radiation into light, the first detection unit being arranged on the sensor unit (12). A second member 22 disposed on the first member 21, and the scintillator layer 30 is disposed on the second member 22, and the refractive index of the first member 21 is n1. When the refractive index of the second member 22 is n2 and the refractive index of the scintillator layer 30 is n3, a material satisfying n1 <n2 <n3 is selected and the propagation path of scintillation light propagating obliquely is long.
