It is a resin composition for optical materials. In the formula (1), R is a branched chain alkyl group and / or alkenyl group having 3 to 24 carbon atoms, AO is an oxyalkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and n is an alkylene group It is a numerical value in the range of 3-30 which shows the average addition mole number of an oxide, and X is a coupling group which consists of a carbon atom, a hydrogen atom, and / or an oxygen atom.
