abstract | Provided are a polarizing plate manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus capable of preventing the formation of dents and bubbles in a laminate (polarizing film and transparent film) constituting a polarizing plate. An active energy ray-curable adhesive is applied to one side of a transparent film 2 or 3 or one side or both sides of a polarizing film 1, and the transparent film 2 or 3 is applied to one side or both sides of a polarizing film 1. In a state where the laminate 4 laminated through the sheet is sandwiched between the bonding rolls 51 and 52 rotating in the transport direction, at least one bonding roll 51 or 52 is connected to the other bonding roll 52 or 51. By pressing in the direction, a bonding step of bonding the transparent films 2 and 3 and the polarizing film 1 and an active energy ray irradiation step of irradiating the laminate 4 with active energy rays and curing the adhesive are provided. Dust removal rolls 51 a and 52 a for removing dust attached to the surfaces of the bonding rolls 51 and 52 are provided so as to contact at least one of the pair of bonding rolls 51 and 52.
