abstract In semi-automatic arc welding, a solid wire or a flux-cored wire encapsulating flux is used. However, a solid wire has no function of flux, and a flux-cored wire has a limited cross-sectional area. It could not be sealed, and was not satisfied with spatter suppression, welding quality and welding efficiency. Further, the shielding gas only blocks air and has no function of positively improving weldability. By applying a liquid flux to a welding wire with a coating machine, not only a flux-cored wire but also a solid wire can be welded utilizing the flux function. In addition, the shield gas is introduced into the liquid flux filled in the vaporizer and vaporized to produce a mixed shield gas mixed with the shield gas, and this mixed gas is introduced into the welding torch for welding to combine the shield and flux functions.
